In-Ear Monitors (IEM)
Most people know we provide diagnostic hearing testing and hearing aid fittings. However, very few people know that we also supply custom in-the-ear monitors.
Custom in-the-ear monitors are used instead of headphones or ear buds. They are output transducers (small speakers) that are embedded in a custom mold that is made to the exact size of your ear. They are often seen on musical performers when on stage.
The advantage of using a custom in-the-ear monitor is two fold. By having a mold that seals the ear perfectly you can significantly reduce all outside sounds and the music produced by the transducers are contained within the ear canal, sending all of the sound to the eardrum.
In-ears are a little more expensive than regular headphones starting at $195 but they are custom to your ear and only you can enjoy them. They do so much more than headphones. They are worth the experience.
